The CW’s hit show Dynasty, starring Liz Gillies and Maddison Brown probably won’t return to Netflix for season three until the entire season has aired elsewhere.

While the show has officially returned, the season has no Netflix release date until NEXT year.

Why? In the U.S., Netflix signed a deal with The CW that doesn’t allow their shows (that aired their first season before 2019) to go onto the streaming service until eight days after the season finale airs.

Dynasty Season three enters this category.

Previously, their seasons ended in May, so we can expect Season three to have a Netflix release date in May 2020… or at least the first week of June. This is if the season has 22 episodes like the first two.

Before Season three, every country outside of the U.S. had Netflix’s first-run rights, which meant that episodes of shows like Dynasty were to Netflix the day after they first air on The CW.

This week in France, Netflix revealed the series will be released as an entirety on the platform, once it’s aired elsewhere.

They tweeted: “We will broadcast all episodes at once, next year.”

Since the release date has yet to be confirmed, it’s likely that it will be the same as the U.S., however other countries might not follow this new rule.

But hey, Season’s one and two are available to stream on Netflix right now!
