Ever since the start of Riverdale, fans have been petitioning for Cole Sprouse‘s twin brother Dylan to join the cast and we’re sorry to tell you folks that you’ve been wasting your time.
In a new interview with Glamour, the IRL Jughead squashed ~rumours~ that his twin bro could be joining the show.
“I wouldn’t want it. Dylan would never do it,” he said.
He basically feels like adding his twin to the show would be too ~distracting~ to viewers and would suspend disbelief.
“I think it would break the fourth wall too much,” he admitted.
“A lot of my fans from the Suite Life still come up and say, ‘This would be fun!’ I think it would just be silly. It would be super, super weird and totally not appropriate. I also just don’t think Dylan wants to; to be honest, I wouldn’t want to either.”
Hopes and dreams = SHATTERED.
That being said, Cole did admit that he’d be happy to work with his bro at some point down the track on a different project.
“People want to see us on screen together again, and that’s fine,” Cole said. “That’s flattering, I guess.”
