Cole and Dylan Sprouse are very well accomplished actors, but that doesn’t mean that they nail every audition they try out for.
In fact, Dylan is revealing to the world just how bad he and Cole’s audition for School of Rock was.

“I must have been having a bad day, because the audition just said ‘Please prepare a song,'” Dylan told MTV.com. “We walked in, I actually walked in first before Cole, and they said, ‘Hi, what did you prepare today? Can you sing?’ and I looked at them and I was like ‘no.'”
The producers asked if they could at least sing ‘Happy Birthday,’ and Dylan refused. Lol.
However, Cole did a little better, deciding to rap instead of sing, which “brightened up” Dylan’s day “significantly.”
Cole got a callback and Dylan did not. Ouch.
“The amazing thing is that he suggested [rapping] to our mom for a movie named School of Rock and she was totally OK with it. She was like ‘You be you, honey.'”
