What started as an off-the-cuff comment from actress Fran Drescher, has turned into legitimate talks with Cardi B and her people about the possibility of the rapper starring in a reboot of Drescher’s hit sitcom, The Nanny.
Cardi B would be a seamless fit into the world of Nanny Fine, and the new mum hasn’t exactly made her love of the hit 90’s show a secret.
When the first set of rumours of a The Nanny reboot surfaced, the I Like It singer took to Instagram to post a GIF of the two ladies along with the caption, “IM WITH IT !!!! This makes me so happy cause i love her ❤️”
Drescher has revealed that she is still very much in talks with Cardi B’s people at the possibility of a The Nanny reboot, where the Bodak Yellow rapper would either play the daughter of everybody’s favourite nanny/fashionista from Queens, or she would play a re-imagining of the iconic character.
Drescher shared in a recent interview, “I’m actually developing a millennial-and-me baby boomer show [to star in] and I thought maybe this is fortuitous, maybe we would be good together.”
Drescher went on to say, “She [Cardi B] would be good playing my daughter. I’m taking meetings with her representatives and you never know, maybe something will develop out of that.”
