After seeing a show for multiple seasons, we grow to love the characters and family. So it’s usually hard to remember that sometimes, that actor/actress may have missed out on that role completely.
Which is exactly what could have happened with Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica Lodge on Riverdale.
In a recent interview Camila explains how even though she was the show’s top choice for Veronica, they made her really sweat it out before confirming the news to her. Cruel!
“I had the most harrowing audition process. They were like, ‘You’re our top choice, but we want to open up a new search, and we want someone that can compete with you.’ I lost sleep, I was crying every night because it felt like I was so close to something that could be big, and like my life and career changing, but in the end it all worked out.”
Honestly, there’s no one else we’d like to see on our screens as the queen V.
