Cuban goddess Camila Cabello has gifted us all with the knowledge that on Septemeber 5, we will be treated to a brand new era of music: Romance.
Posting a clip on her Instagram, the ex-Fifth Harmony member released a short clip announcing the Romance era will begin on Thursday, so brace yourselves for some dreamy love ballads friends.
In the clip, Camila’s golden locket of a heart is opened by a key to reveal a pink-and-purple hued scene, complete with a sand timer, a heart and a white house.

Rather cryptically, the text ends with this strange and ominous message: “Truly surrender to the drama.”
And what pray tell is that supposed to mean, Camila?
Naturally, fans had A LOT to say about Camila’s new vibe:
“First Lover and now Romance this is the year of love”.
“This is so different from your first album, I’m so excited.”
“From Reflection to Romance. We stan a first letter.”
Camila’s love life has seen its ups and downs as of late with the Senorita singer splitting from dating guru Matthew Hussey in July, only to find love with friend and fellow artist Shawn Mendes soon after.
Despite being papped multiple times passionately kissing in public, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have so far refused to publicly comment on the status of their relationship, even walking the red carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards separately.
However, the Canadian crooner himself finally addressed his relationship status while chatting to fans backstage post-concert in Connecticut on Friday.
In the vid, Mendes is asked by a fan if ‘he’s ever been in love before’ (props on the loaded question BTW), to which he replied: “Honestly, I want to talk to you guys about this stuff, because it’s not just me in the relationship, you know?
“There’s another person involved, and I can’t say things that I feel…. It’s not just me deciding, you know?”
Whatever this new era means, I think we can expect Camila to address both her relationship with Shawn and Matthew, after all, what else are romances for if not for creative inspiration!
