Awww yeah, Stan’s new show ‘Bump’ is getting a season two

The series is currently breaking viewing records!

Good morning and happy Monday to us all because Stan’s Bump is officially getting a second season, yippeee!

Per an announcement from the streaming service, the Stan Original has broken viewing records for the streaming service since it launched on New Year’s Day. The series, which follows an overachieving Year 11 student after she unexpectedly gives birth on campus, has become a huge local hit, reminding us all of the golden years of Aussie teen TV.

And, met with glowing reviews, it’s not hard to see why the show has already had a season 2 commissioned in less than two weeks since its debut.

Bump is the show we needed now,” said Claudia Karvan, star, co-creator, and producer in a statement. “A show that is authentic, full of heart and humour, and is a testament to our resilience.”

“We all are champing at the bit to get back into the story room and bring these characters to life again. Stan has been the ultimate collaborators and we’re looking forward to working together again.”

Bump season two

According to Stan, filming for season 2 will start in 2021. (Hopefully soooooon please!) Bump plans to announce the full confirmed cast of who’ll return at a later date, but we can imagine leads Nathalie Morris and Carlos Sanson Jr. will probably be back.

As to when we can expect the new season, with Bump originally filming during the middle of the pandemic, we have high hopes of seeing the continuation of Oly, Santi, and baby J’s story in the backend of 2021.

Later on in the year, Stan will also debut its Byron Bay-set teen mystery drama called Eden, which stars Love, Simon star Keiynan Lonsdale and American Horror Story‘s Cody Fern.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for something charming to fill the Bump-void in your heart, we’re highly recommending Julie and The Phantoms, Never Have I Everand We Are Who We Are.
