Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Are Under Fire For Their 2012 Wedding

An ugly truth has emerged from the hype for new Marvel movie, Black Panther, after Ryan Reynolds tweeted his support for the film. The glaring problem? Reynolds and wife Blake Lively chose to get married on a plantation.

After Reynolds posted the below tweet, one simple response – “u got married on a plantation”– sparked a Twitter storm.

Boone Hall Plantation, South Carolina, is an (admittedly beautiful) house that was, like most of its kind, built by slaves. Twitter user @palecur puts it best:

For every comment decrying the use of plantations today, was one expressing the opinion that in today’s day and age, it’s NBD.
