It’s been 9 long long years since we rushed home to flick on the Disney channel and watch Hannah Montana… and now, we might get to rush home from work and do the same thing.

Billy Ray Cyrus has confirmed during a recent interview with Hollywood Life that the show is being made into a prequel! And he’s totally on board.
“They’re talking about doing a prequel, which to me, I would do that in a heartbeat,” Cyrus dished.
“Because that means I get to get my mullet back,” Cyrus said about his character Robbie Ray.
“I think there’s a whole story that led up to Miley becoming Hannah Montana,” he added, talking about his real-life daughter
The show debuted on the Disney Channel in 2006, which followed Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus), a young gal who moved from Tennessee to Malibu, California, to follow her superstar dreams.
However, as we know Miley had the best of both worlds, using her stage name Hannah Montana (and a very convincing wig) to keep her regular life separate.
The only people that knew her secret was her father/manager Robbie Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus), brother Jackson (Jason Earles) and friends Lilly Truscott (Emily Osment) and Oliver Oken (Mitchell Musso).
The prequel could possibly follow the life of Robie Ray more in-depth, showing his rockstar life as a widow and father.
In March last year, Miley confirmed that a reboot was happening.
