Big Little Lies season 2 is released in less than a month’s time with the show’s full trailer finally dropping earlier this week (watch it below).
With all the main cast including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoë Kravitz returning, plus the addition of the legendary Meryl Streep, the second instalment of HBO’s award-winning drama promises to be good.
While it’s been confirmed that those in the USA can watch Big Little Lies on HBO from June 9th 2019 for some time now, we finally know that in Australia the show will be premiering on Foxtel Now on Monday, June 10 at 11.00am, the same time as the US, with a primetime encore on FOX SHOWCASE at 8.30pm that evening.
An episode will be released at the same time every Monday from then on for the show’s seven episodes.
The team behind Big Little Lies has been tight-lipped about what we can expect from season two, however, we do know that Streep’s character, Mary Louise – the late Perry’s mother, is after answers surrounding her son’s death, saying in the trailer, “You don’t believe my son just slipped?” There’s also a new detective in town investigating the death, plus Deadline revealed that there’ll be at least another two new characters on top of Streep: Martin and Elizabeth Howard, Bonnie’s parents.
