Bella Thorne has been across quite a few movie and TV productions as of late, however, just because she has a lot of work it doesn’t mean everything produced has been successful.
According to Box Office Mojo, Bella’s brand new movie, Amityville: The Awakening, debuted this weekend to and made only $742.
WHAT?
“Amityville is in theaters this weekend go look for it!!!” Bella Tweeted, but doesn’t seem to have made fans go and watch it. Heck, the tweet got more likes than the movie made money.
The movie was actually produced by The Weinstein Company; and it was the company’s first release since the whole Harvey Weinstein scandal broke. How unfortunate.
But there are other contributing factors as to why the movie was such a #fail.
Not only was it set to be released in 2015 (old news much?) but did anyone see any marketing put into the film? Because we definitely didn’t.
It was also only released in ten theatres around the country, and when it did hit the cinemas, it had already been streaming on Google Play for 2 weeks!
At least we can all look forward to the second season of Famous In Love that’s coming up…
