There’s absolutely no doubt about it, Beauty and the Beast live-action remake was pretty incredible.
Remakes can sometimes very easily be a fail, but Disney nailed this one and solidified our love for the iconic story even more.
And it seems like movie-goers around the world agree.
The tale as old as time is set to make a whopping $1 billion globally, and we’re shook.
The film out-earned its original in just five days of being released, which was already impressive, but this is pretty next level.
Emma Watson alone is set to make a HUGE $15 million if the movie continues to succeed, which, let’s face it, it will.
From Tuesday, the movie grossed worldwide at $993.2 million.
Unsurprisingly, this is Disney’s live-action movie that will make more than $1 billion (Alice in Wonderland was the first).
And with the line-up of remake’s scheduled for the next few years, from Mulan to The Lion King, we can only assume that Disney are pretty enthusiastic atm.
