8 reality TV show couples who are still together

It was love at first episode.

Who says you can’t find love on reality TV? For years shows such as The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Married At First Sight (to name a few) have fed our reality TV obsession, bringing some of the most memorable couples together (we’re looking at you, Tracey and Dean).

For the majority, the spark that ignited their relationship faded once the cameras stopped rolling. Yet for others, it was only the beginning of a lifelong romance.

Below, the couples who captured our hearts on national television and, better yet, are still going strong.

Snezana Markoski and Sam Wood

Show: The Bachelor season three (2015)

When personal trainer Sam Wood chose Snezana Markoski on the finale of The Bachelor, it was only beginning of their love story. Fast forward three years and their relationship has continued to blossom with the addition of an engagement and their first child together. The pair are parents of two, Snezana has a 13-year-old daughter, Eve, from her previous relationship and they welcomed daughter, Willow, in October 2017. They’re expected to tie the knot this year.

Laura Byrne and Matthew Johnson

Show: The Bachelor season five (2017)

We all fell in love with Matty J on the second season of The Bachelorette but unfortunately for him, Georgia Love didn’t fall quite so hard. Matty had his second shot at love when he met his leading lady Laura Byrne on the fifth season of The Bachelor, declaring she was the woman of his dreams on the show’s finale. “I think about you every single day,” the 31-year-old said at the time. “The only way I can describe how I feel towards you is – Laura, I love you.” The couple recently celebrated their one year anniversary and moved in together.

Show: Bachelor in Paradise season one (2018)

They were one of the matches no one saw coming, but Keira Maguire and Jarrod Woodgate are still very much in love after their time in paradise. It would be an understatement to say that the couple endured their fair share of turbulent times whilst on the show, only to come out the other side stronger. Now the couple have confirmed they are living together, with Keira relocating to Melbourne to be with the vineyard manager.

Carly Bowyer and Troy Delmege

Show: Married At First Sight season five (2018)

They may not have found love with their chosen partners on the show but they definitely found it in each other’s arms! Troy and his new love debuted their union after weeks of secrecy during the dramatic finale dinner party. The other couples had no idea Bowyer and Delmage were an item, not even Troy’s ‘wife’ Ashley Irivin. However, the pair are still going strong and Troy told the Daily Telegraph that he could “happily” spend the rest of his life with Carly. “Marriage is definitely on the cards for us,” he told the publication. “She’s definitely a girl I could see my entire future with.” Second time lucky perhaps?

Anna Heinrich and Tim Robards

Show: The Bachelor season one (2013)

Tim and Anna’s love story began on the Australian debut season of The Bachelor in 2013 and they certainly set the bar high! After four years of being together, the couple became engaged in May 2017 and are set to marry in Europe later this year.

Tara Pavlovic and Samuel Cochrane

Show: Bachelor in Paradise season one (2018)

Another Bachie success story! We were all stunned when Sam Cochrane got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend of five short weeks, Tara Pavlovic, in the dramatic finale of the debut Bachelor in Paradise, but there’s no denying: these two were meant to be. When you know you know, right Sammy? Now that the news is out the happy couple are now celebrating their engagement and busily planning their upcoming wedding.

Georgia Love and Lee Elliot

Show: The Bachelorette season two (2016)

Their romance just keeps getting stronger and stronger! Georgia Love fell head over heels for Lee Elliot on the second season of the Australian Bachelorette and has not looked back ever since. It’s been roughly 18 months since the journalist, 29, and the 36-year-old tradesman went public with their relationship and the pair has showed no signs of slowing down, constantly sparking engagement rumours.

Tracey Jewel and Sean Thomsen

Show: Married At First Sight season five (2018)

It was the scandalous ending to a turbulent season of MAFS. Like fellow contestants Carly and Troy, Tracey Jewel and her beau Sean Thomsen were also guilty of partner-swapping, finding love with someone who they were not matched with. Nonetheless, their relationship is thriving with Tracey revealing to New Idea that the Perth-based couple is moving to Melbourne together. Looks like the ‘experts’ got it wrong. Twice.
