With how amazing Sweetener was, and the success of “Thank U, Next”, fans are VERY keen to see what she comes up with next.
In the music video for “Thank U, Next”, Ariana actually teased one of her new songs without telling us.
It started when a fan asked, “Was the instrumental in the beginning really 7 rings? Cause it SLAPS.”
“Seven Rings” is reportedly the name of her next single, and at the beginning of music video, you can hear the song.
Ariana replied, “mhmm”.
“So is the album like done DONE,” one fan asked. “Yes but i keep writing things i want to add,” replied Ariana.
“can u let us know who has the 7 rings?” another fan asked.
“Me, vic, courtney, alexa, tayla, njomza, kaydence (and my mom and nonna so technically nine but they got theirs after song was done),” Ariana responded.
Another fan then asked, “who had the idea?
“Well…………. twas a pretty rough day in nyc,” Ariana replied. “My friends took me to tiffany’s. we had too much champagne. i bought us all rings. 💍 it was very insane and funny. & on the way back to the stu njomza was like ‘bitch, this gotta be a song lol’. so we wrote it that afternoon.”
