Sony’s live-action remake of Barbie has officially found it’s lead.
Not too long ago, it was rumoured that Amy Schumer was in the running, but the entire world kicked up a stink because she wasn’t “perfect enough.”
Amy officially lost out to the role due to “scheduling conflicts”, so now ya girl Anne is a front-runner.
Sony intends for the movie to be released by June 29, 2018 although due to casting setbacks, production has yet to start.
Mattel, the company that owns Barbie, already has merch on its way, which you can guarantee we will be buying.
The plot of the movie is set to follow the character being kicked out of Barbieland for not being perfect enough, landing in the real world… Um, Enchanted much?
