The 2019 Disney live-action remake is getting a follow up which will star original actors Mena Massoud, Will Smith and Naomi Scott, as Variety reports.

The script will be written by John Gatins and Andrea Berloff, and will NOT follow the script of the original sequel, The Return of Jafar.
