While 13 Reasons Why fans wait for the show’s second season to grace our screens, the peeps behind the Netflix series have been using social media to keep the momentum going with Instagram and Twitter posts.

But a recent tweet has come under fire for “glamourising” the abusive relationship between Justin (Brandon Flynn) and Jessica (Alisha Boe).

“Always,” read the tweet that has since been deleted.

Outraged fans were writing comments like: “I love the series, but wtf with this? You encouraging this couple? Remember he let Bryce rape only bc they were mates? Wtf is wrong with you.”

Another fan wrote: “He let his friend rape her and lied to her face about it and y’all be romanticising their unhealthy relationship??”

After the social media managers saw the hate that the post was getting, they deleted the tweet from the 13 Reasons Why Twitter account.

The show is already causing dramz and season two hasn’t even aired yet!

Hopefully the writers will take this into consideration during the making of the next season.
