Since Nev was the first to announce Max's leaving, Twitter was in a state of initial shock when Nev's Tweet read, "It is with a very heavy heart, that all of us at the Catfish family say goodbye to @maxjoseph".
By the way it sounds, it could have come across that he was dead, and fans were NOT okay.
Nev has realised his wording may not have been ideal, so made the effort to apologise and let everyone know that no, Max isn't dead.
Thank goodness.
We're glad to know Max is all g, despite that he's leaving and we won't see our fave bromance continue.
Now we've just gotta wait until MTV announces Nev's next co-host!
