Demi Lovato was rushed to hospital after suffering 'what appears to be' an overdose, TMZ reports.
The publication claims the 25-year-old singer was taken from her Hollywood home and is now receiving treatment.
Her condition is currently unknown.
Los Angeles Police Department confirms to PEOPLE, 'LAPD and LAFD responded to a medical emergency at the 8000 block of Laurel View Dr. at 11:40am.
A representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department additionally told the publication they 'transported a 25-year-old female patient to a local hospital.'
Demi has battled addiction, mental illness and an eating disorder for years. In 2011, the entertainer entered rehab, where she was also treated for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm and addiction.
Lovato later relapsed after she left the treatment centre, then entered a sober living facility for a year.
Last March, Lovato revealed she celebrated six years of sobriety.
In June she released a new song, 'Sober', where she revealed she had relapsed.
Ariana Grande tweeted her support for Demi shortly after news broke of her hospitalisation.
"I love u," she wrote.
