However, people on the internet have done what they do best! Ruin anything nice!!
Recently, Demi stepped out to grab a coffee after working out. In short, she looked amazing doing so.
But instead of some people celebrating that she's doing well, they decided to drag her through the mud criticise her for gaining weight.
"Damn Demi Lovato got fat as sh*t," a Twitter user wrote.
Another comment was so derogatory that we won't post it, but it had to do with her overdose and gaining weight.
On @justjared's Instagram post of Demi, a bunch of people left comments calling her "fat" to saying she "looks awful" and that it looks like she "ate the whole clinic."
Wow.
Not cool.
In the past, Demi has struggled with eating disorders and has been really open about it. She has even discussed the importance of body positivity on Instagram, so to see these comments is very disappointing.
Hopefully, she can block out the haters during her recovery.
