Now, the list of acts have been announced. The likes of Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That, and Niall Horan will be performing.
#Amazing.
But, fans went on an asked why Ari's close friend, Demi Lovato wasn't performing. Especially after she shared this touching tribute.
"@ArianaGrande Why will not Demi (@ddlovato) participate? She sent beautiful messages of support," a fan wrote on Instagram.
And it didn't go unnoticed by Demi, who actually replied with, "Cause I wasn't asked."
Ahh... awkward?
She went on to further explain that, "The only reason why I answered is so people understand that I didn't turn it down. I'd hate for anyone to think that I said no. I would've loved to help but I wasn't asked, that's all."
We don't think she's being intentionally rude or shady, especially to Ariana, but it does seem interesting that she wasn't asked when she is obviously keen to help.
Fans have come to Demi's defence, claiming she wasn't at all being rude.
"She only said she wasn't invited...she didn't shade anyone she loves ari," one fan wrote.
"She's just clarifying that she wouldn't have said no if Ari asked, Jesus."
"She's just confirming WHY she's not performing, my goodness."
No beef here. Move along.
