(If you don't picture a Christmas elf doing some sort of jig at that word, then you have no soul).
But us viewers aren't the only ones who find the name of the drug ridiculous. Especially with how they have made it look like a fun sherbet lolly in the way it's consumed.
The Riverdale cast recently admitted to TVLine that when they were first told about "Jingle Jangle" they lost it. Fair enough. Cole Sprouse even admitted that, "Can you imagine having to say 'Jingle Jangle' on screen over and over again? I think we didn't stop laughing for the first four episodes."
So where did the name even come from?
Well, it was an Archie comics reference! Duh!
"He [Robert Aguirre-Sacasa] sent us... this classic, twisty, 70s, drug-trippy 'Jingle Jangle' song, and then it all made sense," Cole revealed.
It's actually the name of a song by The Archies from 1969. Watch below:
