In a chat with news.com.au about Liam's incredible Men's Health Australia cover, Chris admitted that he is proud he made the bold decision to move back home in Byron Bay, and leave his old life and Miley behind.
"He's out there training and staying fit, and back in Australia doing his thing. It's Australian living, I guess. We got him out of Malibu!" Chris said cheekily.
In a sad look back, 'Malibu' was one of the love-songs Miley wrote about Liam, as the pair owned a home together in the Californian city.
Honestly, I am crying but I'll get over it because I am so impressed with Chris' savage remark.
Liam has very happily moved on with Australian model Gabriella Brooks, and he told Men's Health that while he and Miley were breaking up, he really struggled with the media attention.
"It really got to me," he said. "Yeah, look, there are times when you want to lash out and say something... These days I don't want to invest any more time in worrying about that sort of stuff.
But Liam got through it all with hard work and exercise.
"This last six months, honestly, for keeping my head level and just staying balanced, I’d say exercise has been big for me,” he said.
When asked if he's in a "rebuilding" phase of his life, he said, "yeah, that's a good way to put it."
