Cheryl and Liam Payne might be remaining tight-lipped about the impending arrival of their first child, but an old interview with Cheryl reveals exactly how she feels about becoming a mum.
While in the band Girls' Aloud, Cheryl said she'd take a career break after having a child and said motherhood is 'sacred' and what 'life is about'. Her career is solid enough for her to take some deserved time off after the arrival, and this has always been a goal for her. She says, "It's what I'm doing this for – for my future with my family. I want to be at the point where I can take a year, 18 months, off."
And don't think for a second Cheryl and Liam will leave the raising of their kids to hired help! Cheryl says she wants to be a hands-on mumma: "I want them to wake up and ask for me, not a nanny. That would break my heart."
We're sure Liam feels the same!
Despite the fact the autobiography, Dreams That Glitter, was published a few years ago when she was still in the band, sources close to the star say she feels the same way about motherhood now as she did then.
We can't WAIT until the bub arrives <3
