Especially since they had their first child - Bear Payne - with one another.
Because of Bear, Cheryl has explained how she and Liam make it work to be the best parents they can. Speaking to The Daily Mail, she opened up about their post-breakup life.
“There's no animosity whatsoever. We are learning all the time,” she said of their relationship today. “And it's good, it's healthy. We're just like any other couple that has gone through this, but we have a few more eyes watching us...just a few.”
Cheryl added that having Bear has changed her perspective on being famous and living her life in the public eye. “Having Bear has helped. I have a different purpose now. Before, I would work and work and work, and that was the main subject in my life — and now he is.”
Cheryl and Liam met on the set of The X-Factor. She was a judge and he was a contestant when One Direction was formed. At the time, Liam had a crush on her.
“She's been my dream girl since I was younger. She's so ace,” he said in a 2017 interview.
