Cara Delevingne, selfie queen that she is, has taken to Instagram to call out society for their selfie-taking ways and the internet is not here for it.
The model uploaded a pic of a girl reading a book with the words: "one girl loved reading so much she forgot to how to take a selfie" across the image.
People immediately started slamming Cara in the comments, pointing out that you can take selfies AND be a book lover.
"Says the chick with a thousand selfies. This generation doesn't practice what they preach and they only preach to improve their image," One follower wrote.
"Bit ironic though coming from someone who is so wealthy just over this kind of lifestyle. Modelling, photoshoots, and the public eye ..." Wrote another.
A third IG user wrote: "I take selfies, love me a good selfie, but I don't pretend it's not vapid. Books though, books always make me feel enriched."
Noticing all the backlash, Cara revised her caption:
"Wow! The backlash on this picture is heavy!! I am not trying to say that I am better than anyone," she wrote.
"It's a nice reminder to me and to anyone. The power of getting lost in a book."
Here's to the girls who can take an epic selfie AND love to get lost in a good novel.
