Artists have a pretty meticulous schedule when it comes to releasing new music, so when fans (somehow) manage to leak it early, it's incredibly disheartening for them... especially considering how much work they put into it.
Most recently, new music was allegedly leaked of Camila Cabello's.
Because of this, Camila took to Twitter (in a now-deleted tweet) to call out any fans who would do this to her.
“If you see any tweets sharing ‘leaked songs’, please don’t share them,” she wrote. ”If the songs aren’t out it’s because they’re not meant to be heard right now, if you’re my fan, please don’t share leaked audios on your socials. Love only, camila.”
Fans were pretty quick to show support for her.
“Fans barely share leaks anyways but they do mention them which create curiousness in the fandom. If we don't share it, we should also learn to not tweet nor mention them at this point,” one person wrote.
Another added, “We need to remember that when people leak Camilas [sic] work it’s not for her benefit it’s to hurt her, we as her fans shouldn’t support these people. As cool as it is to hear new music from our queen we must respect her and her work.”
