Yesterday, President Donald Trump announced that transgender people will no longer be able to serve in the US military.
He took to Twitter to say that transgender soldiers lead to "tremendous medical costs and disruption."
Naturally, the stupid decision didn't go down without absolute outrage from the people, But, one response from a certain celeb gained a helluva lot of back lash.
Caitlyn Jenner responded to the news with ~passionate tweets~ and a letter addressing the rights of the trans community.
“There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us. What happened to your promise to fight for them?” she wrote.
"I believe every American should be outraged by the disrespect shown to those people wearing our country’s uniform," she continuned, before calling Trump's decision a "half-baked" idea that "puts all of our service members in harm’s way."
The problem? It's obvious. Caitlyn supported Donald in the 2016 Election. Heavily.
She even spoke publicly about voting for him on her TV show I Am Cait in 2016, saying: "If Hillary becomes president, the country is over," she said, even claiming that Trump "would be really good for women's issues."
Well, as expected, Twitter CAME for her.
Caitlyn... it's like trying to shove toothpaste back into the tube.
This violent back tracking ain't gonna fly with the trans, and LGBTQ people that you have already disappointed. Sozza.
