According to Dexerto, rumours about the pair have been around since January, and Rae tweeted in April that she was “single.” Despite the pair being frequently shipped together, they said they were just 'really good friends' who 'wanted different things'.
But, in the last month, Hall’s fellow TikTok famous housemates at his Hype House have been allegedly teasing him with photos of the two together, leading fans to suspect maybe there’s more to the story.
In an interview with ET, the “Ride” singer admitted that he and Rae are “hanging out.”
“We’re still, like, really good friends,” he told the outlet. “Like, we never broke… we never separated for real bad reasons, you know? We were just busy doing our own things. Now with quarantine, not so busy. I’m not saying anything, but we’re friends. We’re really good friends.”
“Yeah, we actually have a lot of deep talks about it,” he said. “It’s actually crazy how both of us got in such a short amount of time and always reflect saying, ‘Wow, it’s like, so crazy, you know?’”
Back in February, Rae confirmed that the two were just “really good friends” and wanted different things at the time.
“We were talking and kind of like, on and off, just trying to figure things out,” she told ET. “I’m also, like, very new to this and he’s been in this industry for a really long time.”
“Things happen and then we just decided we’re better off as friends for now because we both have totally different lifestyles right now… Right now, we’re just better off as friends.”
On New Year’s Eve, the pair shared a cute kiss at the end of a post of Hall jokingly kissing his male TikTok friends.
