A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is to temporarily take over the Toxic singer's estate. Britney's attorney, Matthew Rosengart, has called for a hearing for full termination within 30 to 45 days.
After details of Britney's conservatorship fell into the public sphere, the internet rallied behind the pop star in what became a #FreeBritney movement, as she continues to battle for her autonomy.
The singer has been trapped in a conservatorship since 2008, meaning her estate, financial assets, as well as aspects of her personal life have been under the control of her father and the Bessemer Trust.
Earlier this month, however, Britney's father filed to end the court conservatorship in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
"As Mr Spears has said, again and again, all he wants is what's best for his daughter," the court document read.
"If Ms Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr Spears believes that she should get that chance."
Her father's suspension will come as welcome news to Britney who has publicly pleaded for her father to be removed from the conservatorship.
In other amazing news for Britney, the star recently got engaged to her partner, Sam Asghari.
Britney revealed the exciting news on her Instagram earlier this month, posting a clip of her dazzling ring as she kissed her fiancé on the cheek.
"I can’t f**king believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!," the popstar captioned the footage.
Sam also shared a photo to his Instagram, featuring the pair kissing behind Brit's shiny diamond along with a King and a Queen emoji.
