Cole told ET that his fan-favourite character will head of to prep school and will be "only back in Riverdale on the weekends."
Adding to our fears, Lili added the "distance will probably cause some stress."
The news comes following the devastating reports that Lili (Betty) and Cole (Jughead) who have been dating for over two years have split.
Despite all this, Cole isn't worried about the pair's future as a couple.
"I think it might be a little bit tense. They might fall, turn away from each other, only to come back together way stronger. I think they're gonna be really good" said the Five Feet Apart actor.
If that's not enough to make you stress out, the upcoming new season will apparently see many favourite relationships tested.
Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom also dished on what's in store for her and Toni.
"Right now they are very happy. Cheryl is keeping a dead body in her basement, and her girlfriend doesn't know about it" exclaimed the actress which will no doubt bring up some drama.
What are you doing to us Riverdale?!
One couple that will be pretty safe is Veronica and Archie (Varchie) who after a troubled third season will remain "pretty solid" according to Camila Mendes and KJ Apa.
Reggie (Charles Melton) although will have a few words to say about it as Camila revealed that there will "definitely be a confrontation" between him and Varchie.
Riverdale returns this October!
