"I specifically asked for no re touching on this photo, and lemme tell you I have insecurities, about pretty much everything," she began.
"Know that it's completely normal to feel insecure and it's accepted. honestly I wish everyone talked more about their insecurities so more people in the world could know they aren't alone. That it's ok," she continued.
However, as inspirational as her long message was... the very last line really upset fans.
"IM A HUMAN BEING AND IM REAL. So hip hop your *sses over the fence and GET OVER IT."
Because the issue of GQ was the Mexican edition, some people took the "hip hop over the fence" line as a reference to the U.S.-Mexico border.
"As a Mexican, the last line was so inappropriate," one Instagram commenter wrote.
Another commented, "The last line was totally unnecessary and it literally destroyed the entire message."
Some fans are defending Bella, as she's actually half Cuban... but others are pointing out that no matter what your background is, there are still racial implications of what she said.
