When Katy Perry chopped off her long locks in favour of a cute crop, we were totally vibing on her fresh new look.
But it turns out her reason for getting the chop was purely strategic.
During her appearance on The Ellen Show Katy confessed that she got her hair cut because it was starting to fall out.
“I did it about a month and a half ago. I don’t know if you’ve ever dyed your hair too blonde, but sometimes your hair falls out when you go too blonde so thats the way I handled it,” she said.
“At first this was just to salvage my hair and then I was like, I really believe that the universe has a plan for this.”
How terrifying!
Luckily for K-Pez, she totally rocks the cropped hair ‘do!
Perhaps her little mishap was a blessing in disguise.
