Recently, Tarte Cosmetics announced the release of their new Shape Tape Foundation, and fans were SO excited.
That is, until, they actually showed the range.
“I was so excited when I heard tarte were releasing shape tape foundation then I saw the shade range, GURLLL, NO,” one person wrote on Twitter, showing the very light-tones of the range.
People were incredibly mad that the cosmetic brand weren’t being inclusive to women of colour, so in response to the backlash, they confirmed to POPSUGAR that they would be releasing ten more inclusive colours as soon as they could.
“We’re always pushing ourselves and suppliers to work as quickly as possible,” a brand rep said.
The article also explains that the ten extra shades were already in the works when the first batch was released.
