We all know the Kardashian/Jenners aren’t afraid to think outside the box when it comes to their beauty routines but this is NEXT LEVEL.
Apparently Kendall and Kylie Jenner swear by a treatment that has acetone (that intense-smelling ingredient in your nail polish remover) and dry ice in it to get rid of acne!
As Refinery29 reported, skincare guru Christie Kidd, PA-C, used acetone and dry iced dipped in liquid nitrogen to clear up the skin of a contestant on Khloé Kardashian‘s weight-loss show, Revenge Body.
As Christie worked on the contestant with the bizarre treatment, which is known as a slush facial, she revealed that Kenny and Kylizzle also get them done for glowy skin.
It seriously sounds like something that belongs in a science lab, hence why you should NEVER try it at home!!! Seriously, don’t do it.
According to Holly Buchko, a nurse practitioner at Coast Dermatology in the States, the slush facial “helps to clear out dirt, oil and bacteria trapped in your pores while calming acne related inflammation.”
“Our acne slush treatment begins with a cool exfoliation of the surface of the skin with dry ice wrapped in gauze and dipped in acetone,” Holly told Marie Claire, adding that it can also improve melasma, sun spots and overall texture.
Um, let’s just say we might be leaving this one to the Jenner sisters.
