Anastasia Beverly Hills have received a helluva lot of criticism after they released their new palette, Subculture.
ABH enthusiasts were left pretty disappointed with the product, leaving negative reviews about the pigmentation, the powder fallout and how the colours are hard to work with.
After how successful their Modern Renaissance palette was, it was surprising that this one was not up to usual standard.
President of the brand Claudia Soare addressed the complaints on Twitter.
She thanked the fans for their feedback, which most people applauded her for.
Although, fans still wanted to know why the palette was so bad, so Anastasia Soare herself took to Snapchat to explain.
“Please just understand that we have the best intentions with every single product that we make,” she started.
“We put so much work and heart [in] and we work for years on one product. We want to push boundaries, we want to create the best artist in you. We want to bring out the best in you… I think everybody wants to be challenged with a little more… but let’s see how we can work with some pure pigments and create that look as well.”
A rep for the brand also told Seventeen.com that “the palette was intentionally created with the pigments/pay-offs that it has and is not defective.”
So there ya go! Would you still buy a Subculture palette?
