And yesterday, it seemed like the famous pair were finally ready to go public with their romance with Ashley commenting "mine" on Cara's latest Instagram photo.
However, overnight Ashley cleared things up, saying her account was hacked while she was on a flight with no WiFi.
"When you just get off a flight with no WiFi and find out your Instagram got hacked..." she wrote on Instagram Stories, with a middle-finger emoji and red heart.
It appears Ashley deleted her comment on Cara's Instagram too.
Of course, this doesn't mean the two aren't dating. Reports about the relationship first started back in April, when the two were spotted hand-in-hand on a double date in New York City after meeting on the set of the upcoming film, Her Smell, which is believed to be released in 2019. And just last month, they were spotted holding hands and kissing in Heathrow airport.
