Ariana Grande isn't letting her past relationships define her. In fact, she's not even letting them turn her bitter and angry as many people do.
In doing so, she released her brand new single "thank u, next".
Everyone thought that the song would be a major diss-track to all her exes, but in a move that surprised everyone, Ariana went the opposite way and made an empowering track about self-love that thanks her exes for what they taught her.
“Thought I’d end up with Sean
But he wasn’t a match
Wrote some songs about Ricky
Now I listen and laugh
Even almost got married
And for Pete, I’m so thankful
Wish I could say, “Thank you” to Malcolm
‘Cause he was an angel”
While some fans thought she threw her exes under the bus by using their names, Ari cleared it up by revealing that they all heard the song before its release.
So basically, Ariana just ended toxic break-up culture.
