Pride goers did not hold back on Twitter, slamming both Manchester Pride and Ari after the price of tickets doubled compared to last years event.
Many also argued that people wouldn’t attend the event for the right reasons and it was being treated like a music festival, not a pride festival.
More criticism was that many LGBTQ artists were being ignored in favour of Ari.
Ari quickly responded to the criticism and shut it down like a total boss.
The performance at Pride will mark her first visit to Manchester since the One Love concert two years ago which helped those affected by the bombing outside her Manchester concert in 2017.
