Social media plays such a huge part in our lives these days, so it's no surprise that people are now researching how people's mental states are shown through how they use certain apps.
A study by Harvard University and the University of Vermont has found a link between certain Instagram filters, photos and depression.
The researchers found that Instagram users who uploaded photos that were bluer, darker, and greyer had depression.
Participants with depression also posted less photos with faces, and didn't really use filters. However, the people who did use filters were using Inkwell, the black-and-white one.
But it's important to remember that just because someone uploads a black-and-white photo, doesn't mean they're depressed.
