Celebrities who've given large scale donations

Kylie Jenner

Amid criticism that Kylie Jenner is facing over her mink real fur slippers, the young billionaire has pledged $1.5 million toward the Australian bushfires, as People reports. Whether it be damage control or pure compassion, the country is incredibly grateful.

Yesterday, the 22-year-old posted a photo of the devastation on her Instagram Story. "Over half a BILLION animals have been killed in Australia. This breaks my heart..." she wrote. Unfortunately, her very next photo showed her pair of $1450 Louis Vuitton mink fur slippers.

Pink

Singer Pink donated $500,000.

"I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bushfires. I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the frontlines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz."

"Being over here in Australia has really given me a real time view into what's happening with these devastating fires and for all of my followers who are mostly American, I just want to say that this is a global crisis," Lizzo shared with her 7.2 million Instagram followers.

Hilary Duff

Lizzie Mcguire star Hilary Duff wrote a powerful piece on Instagram, asking her followers to donate what they could.

Hilary also stated that she and her husband Matthew Koma were deciding on a number to donate to the fire relief.

"The next photo is absolutely gut wrenching. The fires in beautiful Australia are covering the entire country 14.7 million acres have burned. That is an unfathomable number. Half a billion animals GONE. Burned alive. 💔💔 its a strange feeling of guilt to be enjoying my honeymoon in South Africa in a similar landscape where the animals are healthy and free and such devastating circumstances for others occurring at the same moment."

Hilary continued: "Homes burned, people displaced and unfortunately some lives lost. @Matthewkoma and I are coming up with a number that we feel comfortable with to donate and will keep you posted on that. Please do what you can."

Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated.
