Initially working as a property analyst, the 26-year-old has pivoted her Bachelor fame into becoming a social media success story.
On her Instagram, she shares the usual things, at least according to one of her grid's motto: “millennial thirst traps/real life.”
Take a bit of a deeper dig though, and you’ll find messages of self-acceptance, body and sex positivity, and frank discussions about sexism, double standards around gender, and impassioned responses to the frankly horrific abuse that’s thrown her way online.
Unfortunately, just the mere fact alone that Abbie is an intelligent, opinionated woman who dares to open her mouth while in the public eye is enough to attract online social media trolls and negative attention from tabloids.
Add to that she actively shuts down sexism and sexist comments when they’re levelled at her? And talks openly about her mental health, advocates for masturbation and — quite rightly — dresses and shares images of her body how she wants? Apparently a recipe for hatred.
Thankfully, there are those who realise the value of someone accessible, relatable and honest sharing their own personal experiences.
In her podcast It’s A Lot, Abbie candidly discusses the kinda things that normally stay within the sacred space of the group chat or a hang with your closest friends.
Think frank chats about feminism, queer issues, vulnerable discussions of her anxiety, and useful sex and dating tips? If you haven’t given it a listen yet, you know what to do.
Abbie is also known for her candid discussions about body positivity. Speaking to GF earlier this year, the Instagram star stressed the importance of practising self-compassion.
“There is nothing wrong with thinking YOU are the beauty standard," Abbie said. "You have no idea how others see you, and you’d never speak to your best friend the way you speak to yourself.”
Below, we round up some of the things you might not know about Abbie (not everything can be found out from an Instagram deep dive after all).

Sex-positive business ventures
In a move that really shouldn't have surprised anyone, Abbie launched her very own vibrator earlier this year!
The sex-positivity activist paired up with adult brand Vush to create a bright orange sex toy that she dubbed on her Instagram as "super strong."
According to the website, the brand took inspiration from Abbie's journey: "This powerful internal g-spot vibrator is all about claiming your power and changing the narrative around your pleasure.
"It's time to celebrate your pleasure and give your sexual wellness story the happy ending it deserves."
What's more, in a recent chat with Girlfriend, Abbie emphasised how much she wants to "end the stigma around sexual health".
"That would stop the sh*tty comments from guys, some of the misogyny and hatred,” the reality TV alum told us over the phone.
Abbie Chatfield's partner
Look, we guess if appearing on The Bachelor certifies one thing, it’s this: people are probably gonna be quite curious about who you eventually end up dating and in a relationship with. And we all know it wasn't Matt Agnew.
But Abbie is currently loved up with a different bachie contestant - Konrad Bien-Stephens from Brooke Blurton's season.
The pair debuted the start of their romance in controversial circumstances last month. Despite still being in the running for Brooke Blurton's heart at the time, 31-year-old Konrad was spotted enjoying a night out at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay with 26-year-old Abbie.
"Obviously it has been a bit of time since production ended with Brooke,” Konrad told 10 play following the airing of his elimination. "We didn’t work out but I really like Abbie. She’s an awesome girl and I’m excited for what the future holds.
"I’m sort of head over heels for Abbie at the minute. It’s very early days but it’s a legitimate thing. I mean, everything happens for a reason so maybe this is what was meant to be."
Abbie went on to confirm that she and Konrad were *officially* dating via an Instagram post on November 24th.
"Me: I’ll never talk about who I’m dating publicly
This mf: 🧍," she penned along with a series of photos of her beau.
Considering the circumstances in which they got together, the relationship has come with a bit of backlash.
Brooke Blurton, who chose Darvid Garayeli in the bachie finale, recently released a statement about being "tainted" by someone she "thought was a close friend" towards the end of the show.
"I hate to bring it up, but personally and mentally I've been disrupted by all the crap that came with Finale Week. We (she and Darvid) both have," she wrote.
"I'm not a hostile person and literally do not have any hate in my heart. Everyone who watched the show, or was on the show cast and/or working as crew, will know that I put my hear and soul into it and it meant a lot for me to open myself up so vulnerably like that. Not only that but for what it meant for the LGBTQIA+ and First Nations Community to have that display of representation.
"Which moves onto my new point. The hardest point. For that to be tainted ONCE again by 1) What I thought was a close friend. 2) Another white woman displaying what white privilege looks like. 3) A very clear display of narcissism.
"Hurts me. Literally pains me," she continued. "I've reached out to this person to resolve this 'conflict' which in fact, classic naive me, adult went to this person to communicate openly about the layers of complexity that this persons actions show and take away from NOT only me but what it meant for a queer woman of colour. If this wasn't me, I'd still have this stance."
Abbie soon responded with a statement published to her own Instagram.
"A month ago, a video of Konrad and I kissing was secretly captured by a patron and made public," she began her post. "Following this, Brooke and I had a conversation in which I apologised and expressed regret multiple times for our public affection as this was prior to Konrad’s exit from the show. Konrad had a similar conversation with Brooke.
"We met as a result of him coming along to a catch up with a mutual friend, the public setting was an accident. We absolutely should have waited to be in private as we are public figures and these are things we need to consider, but we didn’t. We also didn’t consider the possible ramifications of our actions.
"Immediately following this, we intentionally kept things quiet, and did not leave the house together in an effort to not be photographed out of respect for the show and to minimise press surrounding the spoiler of Konrad’s exit."
Abbie went on to say that when she confirmed her and Konrad's relationship it was "not with malice" and she mistook a message from Brooke as expressing "approval of (their) relationship".
"I see with hindsight that this assumption was naïve," Abbie wrote, adding that the timing of taking their relationship public "should have been more considered".
The 26-year-old added: "I didn’t take into account the Australian media landscape and the inherent privilege that I hold as a white woman.
"My actions had the potential to undermine the importance that this pivotal season of The Bachelorette holds to the First Nations and LGBTQIA+ Communities.
She ended the post by saying she will "continue to listen to and amplify minority communities" and strive to learn, before apologising for her actions.
