The story was first published by news generator Channel45News.com and alleges that all app stores will permanently delete the pic-based tool by November 14 (AKA next week).
"The CEO Evan Spiegel of the very popular app Snapchat has released that Snapchat will be removed from all app stores by November 14, 2017," the news story states.
"According to Fox News Media Evan has decided to make this decision due to copyright and legal issues with Facebook, Instagram, and Musical.ly.
"By the date November 14, 2017 all Snapchat apps with be removed from all devices and all app stores. DISCLAIMER all data and media associated with the app will also be deleted within the app."
The story went viral across Facebook and Twitter and scared the heck outta people until it was realised that after clicking the link, a screen pops up that says "You Got Owned!" at the top of the page and "You've Been Pranked!" on the right hand side. Ugh!
So we can officially confirm that these stories are 3000% fake so don't believe a bar of them!
