If you’ve ever marvelled at Cameron’s uber smooth skin, or you’re just fascinated by watching people morph into their most comfy, dewy, makeup-free selves. You’re gonna want to watch this one.
Cameron’s routine is all geared toward keeping as much moisture in her skin as possible, and a lot of the products she uses are super affordable. Amongst a few favourites from Dr. Barbara Sturm, Slip and Tata Harper are a bunch of low-fi hacks and skincare basics.
These are some of the tips we reckon even the most discerning skincare addict can get behind.
Wash your hands
Cameron starts by washing her hands, admitting that she’s become a bit more conscious about it since being in quarantine. Buuut it’s a good tip in general, considering how much stuff we touch with our hands during the day. I mean, you wouldn’t rub your keyboard on your face, right? Yep, better wash those hands.
Tap your products in
This is a tip Cameron learned from an esthetician-turned-makeup artist. After she applies her serums, she gently taps her face in an upward motion. Apparently, this helps encourage circulation in the surface of the skin (don’t slap *too* hard though) and helps your prods absorb better.
Don’t forget to condition aaall your hair
The final good reminder from Cameron’s routine is to condition your eyebrows and eyelashes. As she says, it makes sense, if we condition our head hairs why not show our face ones the same love? Cameron takes a spoolie and a little bit of avocado oil and gently runs it through her brows and lashes.
You can achieve the same with pretty much any face oil or seed oil you have lying around. Think olive oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil–apparently castor oil is supposed to be good for hair growth if you’re regrowing your natural post-extension lashes in iso. If you don’t have a disposable spoolie lying around, a well-cleaned spoolie-end of a brow pencil will do the trick.
