The brand, whom were attempting to be more inclusive with their products, were instead accused of blackface with their new promotional images.
The brand's new Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation images showed swatches on four models arms, however, there seemed to be something majorly off with the dark-skinned woman's hand.
Her palms are shaded dark, seemingly the same colour as her arm, which anyone would know is just not real. People quickly accused the brand of using a white models arm and painting it dark, instead of just using a woman of colour.
Understandably, fans were really upset with this revelation.
After the backlash, Becca Cosmetics issued a statement with a new promotional image.
"Thanks to everyone who shared feedback on our recent arm swatch image, we hear you and want you to know that we remain committed to continually representing our inclusive BECCA Beauties. To demonstrate this commitment, we’ve re-shot with real girls from the BECCA office," they wrote.
Damn.
