OK you guys, these
are some seriously delicious treats of chunky goodness that will make your knees buckle and taste buds go absolutely cray. Nothing says YUM like these chunky choc hazelnut goodies. Get ready for it... What you need:
115G butter, softened
115G brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla essence
1 1/4 cups self-raising flour
3/4 cup rolled oats
100G plain chocolate, chopped (or M&Ms for colour!)
100G white chocolate, chopped
100G chocolate (extra for decoration)
1 tsp. Nutella How to make it:
Preheat the oven to 170-180°C. Grease two baking trays with butter and lightly sprinkle with sifted flour (so the cookies don't stick). Put egg and vanilla in a cup and stir to combine. Using an electric beater, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg mixture and Nutella til all combined. 2.
Sift the flour over the mixture and fold it all in with a spoon. Add chocolate pieces, hazelnuts and oats until all evenly mixed. 3.
Take a teaspoon-sized dollop of the mixture and place onto a baking tray. Flatten it out a little bit and mould into a circular shape. Repeat this with the rest of the mixture, allowing space so they can expand. 4.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they're golden. Leave them for a few minutes and then lift them onto a wire rack to cool. 5.
Boil water in a small saucepan. Put chocolate in a heatproof bowl and sit it on top of the saucepan. Put chocolate in a heatproof bowl and sit it on top of the saucepan, stirring until melted. Then, place melted chocolate in a plastic pastry bag (or a plastic freezer bag) and snip off one corner. Drizzle it over the cookies to make pretty swirly patterns. Wait for the chocolate to set, then serve.
