But the thing about shade is that once it's thrown, it always has a way of coming right on back to the sender.
And Tay, it looks like the shade you threw back in 2014 is about to bite you in the butt!
Katy Perry is currently working on her long awaited fifth album, with two non-shady singles having been released so far.
And some super friggen brave interviewer from Entertainment Weekly just asked K-Pez if the album will include a response to "Bad Blood".
"Well that’s not my question to answer—if it’s about me. I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person," Katy coyly responded.
But then, she just couldn't help but get a lil shady.
"One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that."
Oh yeah Katy, we totes believe you. It's not about any one person at all.
*cough* Taylor! *cough*
Sorry, you'll have to forgive us. We're fighting a cold up in the GF office!
K-Pez went on to contradict herself a little.
She gives a little girls supporting girls spiel that we totally, whole-heartedly, 100% agree with, but then low-key takes it back.
"Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story. But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey. [Laughs] We got to keep it real, honey."
She continues: "This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It’s not even about me! It’s about everything that I see out there that I digest. I think there’s a healing in it for me and vulnerability."
We're assuming everything she has seen "out there" and everything she's had to "digest" and therein requires "healing" based on her "vulnerability" is allllll about this:
Just a thought... *sips tea*
