To bring you up to speed real quick, Fyre Festival was a luxury music festival held on a private island in the Bahamas, which Ja Rule planned.
After attendees spent thousands of dollars on the event, they were left on a deserted island that resembled a ghost town. Kendall Jenner was an ambassador for the festival, reportedly being paid $250k to promote it... and now, she's being epically dragged for its failure.
It hasn't been a great start to the year for Kendall, with that atrocious PR disaster with Pepsi happening, and now this... fans are quick to remind her of it all.
"Kendall Jenner, drinking a Pepsi, on a United flight, to the Fyre Festival," one Twitter user wrote.
"Pretty busy last couple of weeks for @KendallJenner deleting all those Pepsi and Fyre Festival promotions from her social media."
"Kendall Jenner gonna hand these kids a Pepsi and let em know it's gone be alright. #fyrefestival."
Ouch.
Kendall, who still hasn't breathed a word to the public about the Pepsi disaster, has taken the same route for this nightmare and instead posted a topless selfie on Instagram.
Ignorance is bliss!
But it's not Kendall's fault that the festival failed miserably, and organisers have finally released a statement.
"We decided to literally attempt to built a city," they revealed, admitting how they overestimated the entire ordeal. "The team was overwhelmed. This is an unacceptable guest experience and the Fyre team takes full responsibility for the issues that occurred."
You can read the entire lengthy statement here on their website.
Kendall wasn't the only celeb on board to promote the event, her pal Bella Hadid also sponsored it. But unlike Kendall, Bella has issued an apology to her fans.
"Hey guys I just wanted to address Fyre Festival... Even thought this was not my project what so ever, nor was I informed about the production or process of the festival in any shape or form, I do know that it has always been out of great intent and they truly wanted all of us to have the time of our lives. I initially trusted this would be an amazing & memorable experience for all of us, which is why I agreed to do one promotion...not knowing about the disaster that was to come...I feel so sorry and badly because this is something I couldn't stand by, although of course it I would have known about the outcome, you would have all known too. I hope everyone is safe and back with their families and loved ones...xo..."
So that's that then, and to finish off nicely, here are some hilarious memes the internet have created in light of the disaster.
