Know what's awesome? Dating. Know what's not-so-awesome? Being broken-up with. 😪 Nothing can be quite as sucky as being blindsided by the end of a relationship, especially when you had no idea it was coming and the signs were all there.

It's important to remember, though, that just because things can come to an end without you wanting them to, it's often not your fault, which can be hard to comprehend. Things that can contribute to a boy or girl breaking it off with you are many like depression, stress, work-life balance or their feelings can just straight-up change. It happens!

Here are the signs it's on its way out...

They'll stop making plans with you.
Yep, you used to spend all your time together and now you struggle to find a time that works for them to hang out. Chances are they're just trying to put it off til they're ready to make it happen.

They'll all-of-a-sudden start developing friendships with others.
This could be someone they're interested in, like a friend-of-a-friend, a colleague, or (the worst) an old ex! It might seem like they're already sorting out who they'll move onto next, but it's likely just a coping mechanism for the emotions they know they're about to feel.

There's always a need to talk about things.
They used to be chill and now they need to talk at length about everything that you do and how off-putting them find it.

They stop confiding in you.
You wind-up hearing about things in their life like a good story from work, a friend's promotion or anything heavy with their parents, for example through other people instead of them.

Everything you do annoys them.
You can legit be the best person in the world, but they always find something to have a go at you about. Chances are they're just confused and lashing out unfairly because they don't know what's happening in their own mind.

They're never happy around you.
Everything's bleak and down-trodden, there are no jokes or playfulness and it just serious and not fun to be around. Maybe they're just there and paying attention to other things. Whatever it is, it indicates someone who's made their mind-up and hasn't told you yet.

They've asked for space.
See this doesn't necessarily mean it's over, but it's indicative that it's on the way out. It could just be that they want more time, but it could also mean they've checked out. It's kind of like a train stop on the way to 'break-upsville' 😑.
